Poppy Nicol and Heather Pardoe (Principal Curator, Botany, National Museum Cardiff) will present on the NERC/Valuing Nature Placement ‘Sharing Stories, Sharing Collections’ at National Museum Cardiff.  

The economic botany collection includes over 3,500 specimens of medicinal plants, seeds, food products, fibres, gums and resins. Through public consultation, the placement investigated how the National Museum Wales" economic botany collection can support public valuing of biodiversity and contribute to the Museum"s well-being duty. 

This presentation offers several opportunities for innovations in bio-cultural collections, drawing upon the findings of the public consultation.
