Chinese New Year at Canton Library

Cardiff Confucius Institute is pleased to collaborate with Cardiff Libraries and other local organisations to celebrate the Year of the Pig with the people of Cardiff.

A spectacular Lion Dance will open the event and throughout the afternoon children and adults will have the chance to meet Caishen, the "Wealthy God", believed to bring wealth and prosperity for the year ahead.

The event promises to be a family fun day of performances and activities including tea tasting, Chinese chess, a community exhibition, lantern making, traditional dressing up, traditional dance and music and much more.

This is truly a community celebration and all are welcome to attend.
