Digitally Legal – How Lawyers and Businesses are changing legal services and legal risk management by embracing innovations in technology

This briefing will review technological developments in legal services, in private practice, in newlaw, legaltech start-ups and in-house legal teams. Richard will discuss state of the art technological advances in the sector and how Chatbots, managed legal services, AI and design-thinking are impacting on the practice of law and the management of legal risk. With the delivery of legal services becoming less analytical and more digital, we will consider what it means for those managing, training, leading, or buying legal services and what the opportunities and risks are.

Richard Moorhead, is Professor of Law and Professional Ethics, and Vice Dean Research, UCL Faculty of Laws, London. He blogs on lawyers, lawyers ethics, and legal innovation at lawyerwatch.wordpress.com and leads the Future of Legal Practice course for Masters students from around the World.
