Wales and the European Parliamentary Elections

With the polls suggesting a rise in support for right-wing parties, we will consider what this means for different European agendas – such as the European Green Deal and Social Europe – and the knock-on implications for the EU’s neighbours and partners. This event is jointly organised by the European Information Hub and the Wales Governance Centre.

The panel will be moderated by Frederico Rocha, European Information Librarian at Cardiff University, and includes:

  • Susanne Oberhauser (Director, European Parliament Liaison Office, EU Delegation in the UK)
  • Derek Vaughan (Welsh Government Representative on Europe)
  • Dr Rachel Minto (Senior Lecturer in Politics, Cardiff University)

The event will take place on Wednesday, 29th May 2024 from 17:30 until 19:00 in the Committee Rooms of the Glamorgan Building, Cardiff University. Doors will open at 17:00 when there will be refreshments available.
