Careers and Role Model week is now in its eighth year and is one of the most popular events in the Community Gateway calendar offering both career and course advice to Grangetown residents of all ages.

Events are held over the course of a week giving residents a chance to meet academic and professional staff from Cardiff University and receive advice, support and guidance with applications.

During the week, residents are also given the opportunity to sign up to attend a bespoke University open day and are provided with transport from Grangetown to attend.

Community Gateway has sought to encourage community members to take advantage of the diverse range of job opportunities available at Cardiff University by working closely with staff from the Human Resources and Careers and Employability teams who offer CV checks and careers advice. Information on getting involved with the Careers and Employability services, along with the Enterprise and Start-up team will be available throughout the week.
