Piano Series: Catherine Milledge & Roger Owens

Catherine Milledge and Roger Owens continue our Piano Series with a performance on two pianos.

Their programme explores contrasts in the four-hand repertoire - from dynamic arrangements of orchestral works by Brahms and Ravel to more intimate duets by Schubert, composed for domestic settings. To bring the contrasting themes together, Chopin's Rondo for Two Pianos presents a pianistic conversation, a flowing dialogue between the players.

Piano performance students will be able to take inspiration for their own performance programming, perhaps discovering lesser-known duets. The concert will finish with the premiere of  a brand new composition by Cardiff University's Dr Daniel Bickerton.
