Summer 1993 focuses on the life of young Frida, who has recently been orphaned, as she moves to the Catalan countryside after losing her parents during the HIV/AIDS crisis in Spain. Original dialogue in Catalan with English subtitles.
The film is directed by Carla Simón and was released in 2017. Maria Ribas Tur and Rachel Beaney from the School of Modern Languages will present the film. Includes special guest speakers (to be confirmed).
