The Future of Sustainable Placemaking

As the world recovers from the effects of a global pandemic under the continuing challenges of the climate and biodiversity crises, we have no doubt that sustainable placemaking remains just as important as when the Sustainable Places Research Institute was first created.

This event will celebrate the achievements of the Sustainable Places Research Institute and consider how our future research in this area will address the challenges of the present and the future.

Talks will take place from 12:30-1:00pm, hosted remotely via a Zoom link.

From 1:05-2:00pm three separate breakout rooms will host panels of experts discussing the following topics:

• Global vs. Local
• The Future of our Relationship with Nature
• The Future of the Food System
