Hannah Thomas sits in her lab office

This pre-recorded event will be premiered on this page at 12.30. Add it to your calendar and simply follow the link in the diary marker to watch along.

Join us for a lunchtime chat with Hannah Thomas (BSc 2019, Medicine 2020-) to discuss how your support has had an impact for her. Hannah’s research into the immune system looks at T-Cells (a type of white blood cell that fights infection) which specifically target the bacteria that cause Tuberculosis, a disease still infecting millions every year. We chat to Hannah about her work, which was funded thanks to a gift in a Will, and hear how it could help combat TB as well as diseases such as cancer and diabetes.
