Festival of Social Sciences Launch

The Festival of Social Science runs from 2-9 November 2019 and includes over 450 events across the UK. With everything from film screenings, exhibitions, workshops and walks to debates and hands-on experiences, there are events suitable for all ages and all walks of life.

This year, Cardiff University will be hosting ten different events on behalf of the Festival. Events will cover a wide range of topics - mental health and wellbeing, law and politics, education reforms, and sustainability and consumption, to name but a few.

With this year’s events being bigger than ever, Cardiff University will be kick starting the Festival of Social Sciences with a launch event on Friday 1st November. The event will be hosted by Professor Damian Walford Davies and Adam Price (AM) will be our guest speaker.

The event will include showcases of different social science research from Cardiff University and other Welsh HEI’s, and will consist of presentations and discussions around the variety of Social Science research we undertake here in Wales. So please come along for FREE and experience how Social Science research contributes and adds value to your everyday life!
