Pathways to Engineering is a free on-campus programme run over two years at Cardiff University in partnership with the Sutton Trust, a charity championing social mobility, that aims to diversify the engineering proffession, where research shows many talented young people remain underrepresented.

Participants will:

  • attend exclusive academic workshops
  • apply for work experience and industry insight days
  • attend a residential in the holidays
  • meet current university students and academics
  • get support with UCAS applications as well as much more

Through these experiences, they will gain:

  • a network of university staff, industry professionals and peers
  • experiences for CVs, personal statements and interviews
  • information and guidance on applying to and attending university
  • skill development

Students must be in year 12, attend (and have always attended) a state school and live within a 90-minute commute to Cardiff University.

Access resources to share the Pathways to Engineering programme with your year 12 students that are interested in a career in Engineering.
