We aim to offer all our students an international experience which is of benefit to their personal and professional development.
Summer schools
Every year we host a variety of International Summer Schools for advanced undergraduates or graduates, which enable students to develop knowledge of a particular subject area and gain hands-on experience.
International students
We encourage international students from all backgrounds to experience Cardiff as a place to live and study and understand that they may have different needs to UK students. We offer tailored English language teaching, as well as a one year English Language Foundation programme.
Research students
We offer a range of opportunities for funded postgraduate research. The College has successfully secured funding to lead or participate in a number of doctoral training initiatives.
For example, the Cardiff Catalysis Institute currently leads a Centre for Doctoral Training in catalysis and reaction engineering. We also have doctoral training initiatives in diamond science and technology, oil and gas, earth and environmental science and water informatics.
All postgraduate research students are supported by our Doctoral Academy, which is a centre of excellence for training and skills development. We welcome prospective international PhD candidates to take a look at the opportunities available within our Schools, including funding options on offer.
