Clinical Primer Award

The Clinical Primer Award is designed to support research-naïve medical/dental trainees gain laboratory experience and give outstanding early career clinicians the chance to experience a world-class research environment for the first time.

This scheme is currently closed.

Aligned to our GW4 WT Clinical Academic Training Programme, ISSF3 Clinical Primers will support research-naïve medical/dental trainees with a strong ambition to pursue a research career to prepare applications for GW4-CAT and other PhD funding opportunities.

Applicants must be fully-qualified medical doctors or dentists and will have started, or be ready to start, their specialist training (in which case the project will be undertaken as an out of programme module). Applicants should be entitled to work within the European Economic Area (EEA).
