The Centre for Student Life is now open Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 22:00 and Saturday to Sunday, 10.00 - 20.00.

At the heart of student life

The Centre for Student Life is a service‑led project we delivered in close partnership with the Students’ Union. It forms a key part of the biggest campus upgrade in a generation and reflects what we can achieve when we work together with our student community.
This landmark building brings our Student Life services together in one place, making it easier for students to get the right support at the right time.

Supporting every step of the student journey

The Centre for Student Life is home to services that support students with

  • study and learning,
  • health and wellbeing,
  • preparing for the future,
  • managing money,
  • living in Cardiff.

By co‑locating services and strengthening our links with the Students’ Union, we’ve created a more connected, joined up experience that puts students first.

Alongside the building, we’ve expanded our 24‑hour online services and extended opening hours, improving access for all students, including those based at Heath Park, distance learners and those on placement or studying abroad.

The completed project has transformed how we deliver student support and strengthened our commitment to an exceptional student experience, from first enquiry to lifelong alumni.

Sustainability

Sustainability was central to the design and delivery of the Centre for Student Life. We focused on reducing energy demand, improving efficiency and using renewable technologies wherever possible.
