Cardiff University has been chosen as one of five flagship hubs across the UK for Being Human Festival 2023, the UK’s national festival of the humanities in partnership with Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales.

Being Human is the UK’s national festival of the humanities in celebration of humanities research through public engagement.

Taking place in Cardiff from 8-19 November 2023, our Hub joins the Being Human Festival network, presenting hundreds of free events across the UK and beyond.

Our wide range of festival events aim to celebrate and demonstrate the ways in which humanities researchers inspire and enrich our everyday lives, help us to understand ourselves, our relationships with others, and the challenges we face in a changing world.

There’s no cost to attend, and most events are open to everyone, though some are aimed at specific underrepresented groups and schools.
