Innovation Campus investment
This £300m project to transform a disused railway yard into an innovative research space is already well underway, with two facilities open and work starting on a further two buildings.
We also have plans for a footbridge to connect the Innovation Campus to the Cathays Campus near the Business School, which will benefit students, staff and the local community.
Transforming our student spaces
We are spending £260m on our teaching, learning and student experience, to improve existing facilities and develop new ones.
Work will start this year (2017) on our new £50m Centre for Student Life.
We have also started the tender process for:
- a new joint home for the School of Mathematics and School of Computer Science and Informatics. The aim is to create a vibrant 10,000m2 centre of excellence that will deliver innovative teaching and research.
- a new student residence for up to 700-plus students on our Talybont site.
As part of the Transforming Libraries programme, a business case for a new library is being developed. Meanwhile we continue to introduce new technology and are reshaping the way libraries work in preparation for the new facility.
