Guidance for prospective Medical students

Cardiff University School of Medicine has created helpful new guidance on applying to medicine school.

It is well known that getting into medical school can be a real challenge. Cardiff University School of Medicine has created new guidance so that your students know where to start and what is expected of them.

Passport to Medicine is designed to be useful regardless of where students decide to apply, although we do talk them through our own Medicine and Medical Pharmacology feeder stream application cycles as examples of how these things can work.

From year 9 up, pupils are guided through experiences and skills that will help them to decide whether Medicine is right for them. These are also designed to strengthen their application to medical school.

The Passport to Medicine is also available in Welsh.
