Multiwavelength Universe Activity Resources

  • CalendarAvailable on request
  • Clock outline2-4 hours

The activity is suited to KS3, GCSE and A-level, but can be used at “science clubs” with students of those and younger ages.

These resources detail a set of activities which introduce multi-wavelength astronomy. The main focus of the session is an activity where students match up images of astronomical objects observed in different wavelengths. This section of the activity can be carried out using the included resources, or with our online tool.

Downloadable resources include a teacher's pack, powerpoint presentation and student question sheets.

These resources were initially developed in coordination with the Herschel Space Observatory outreach team.
