Maggot Racing

  • CalendarAvailable on request
  • Clock outline2-4 hours

Children participating in the maggot racing activity as part of learning about how medicinal maggots help heal wounds.

The Maggot Racing workshop aims to outline the clinical application of maggots in wound care and healing using a short poster presentation.

Following a short talk on the use of medical maggots to repair wounds, groups of children are given an opportunity to take part in a fun and interactive maggot race using our maggot racing track.

Each group names a maggot and encourages it towards the finish line. The owner of the winning maggot receives a certificate.
