Open Days and visits for undergraduate study
Experience what it's like to study in one of the most beautiful university cities in the UK.
Our on-campus event on Saturday 23 October is fully booked, but you can register your interest for our November Open Day.
Explore our virtual subject sessions
To limit the number of large lectures on-campus, many of our academic schools will be delivering virtual subject sessions on the 19-21 October as part of our undergraduate webinar series.
We recommend attending the virtual sessions in advance of Open Day. Even if you have not been able to secure your place at our next on-campus event, you are welcome to attend the webinars.
These sessions will provide a great opportunity to find out more about your course of interest. You may like to consider attending them in addition to a bookable campus tour in half term.
October on-campus Open Day
Our next Open Day will take place on Saturday 23 October and we are looking forward to welcoming visitors back onto our campus.
The Open Day will take place from 09:00 to 16:00 with a range of activities planned across the day including subject tours and drop in sessions, campus tours, UCAS talks and our insider’s guide to Cardiff. View the full programme.
Keeping you safe
Please be aware that Welsh Government COVID-19 guidance means that the regulations we have to follow for this event are different from other parts of the UK.
For instance, face coverings will be required in all indoor areas, unless you are medically exempt. Sessions will have limited capacities and you may be required to book separately for in-demand sessions. We will contact you again if this is applicable.
Our Heath Park campus will not be accessible as it’s also home to the University Hospital of Wales, however, staff from the Schools of Medicine, Dentistry and Healthcare sciences will be available to meet you in the Centre for Student Life.
Speak to our staff
There will be plenty of opportunities for you to speak to staff across the University and get a feel for what life as a Cardiff University student is really like.
Further details of our Open Day will be published shortly.
November Open Day
We are hoping to have another undergraduate on-campus event on Saturday 27 November. You will be able to book your place for this soon.
Please note registering your interest does not guarantee you a place on our open day.
Our next series of campus tours will take place on 27, 28, 29 October 2021. Find out more and book your place.
Fairs and conventions
If you are unable to attend our Open Days, there will still be opportunities to talk to us at virtual fairs and conventions.
We have a range of virtual talks available for Year 12 and Year 13 students, covering all the important things you need to think about if you intend to start university in September 2021 or September 2022.
Self-guided campus tour
You can use our self-guided campus tour to help you explore our Cathays Park campus, which is located just a few minutes' walk from Cardiff's city centre.
The tour lasts approximately one hour, but you can also take several optional detours, depending on what you'd like to visit.
