Engineering
Engineering is a discipline dedicated to problem solving and improving the world around us. Our students combine science and mathematics with creativity in design to develop new products, processes and structures.
Why study with us
Fully accredited courses
All of our courses are accredited by the relevant professional engineering institutions, providing the foundations you need to become a chartered engineer.
Practical projects
Get hands-on with practical projects alongside student engineers from across disciplines, just as you will in the real world, gaining vital skills for your career.
Real engineering challenges
Tackle authentic engineering challenges through a range of topical design projects, like a hydroelectric dam, a pop-up health clinic, or an electric car.
Strong graduate prospects
Over 92% of our graduates are due to start a new job or course, or doing other activities such as travelling, 15 months after the end of their course (HESA, 2022)*
Top 10 in the UK
We are in the Top 10 in the UK for General Engineering (Times Good University Guide, 2023)
1st in the UK
Our Electrical and Electronic Engineering courses are ranked 1st in the UK by our students (National Student Survey, 2022)
