One of our big aims is to help you become more employable during your time studying at Cardiff University.
Having a CV that stands out from the rest is important. We offer a range of courses in skills development, opportunities to volunteer in the community, and the chance to gain work experience while you study.
If you're thinking of owning your own business, Student Enterprise Cardiff can offer you valuable advice on how to get your idea off the ground.
We also know that most students need a part time job to help them through student life. Our Jobshop offers a dedicated service for students looking to find temporary work that fits around their studies. Unistaff Jobshop offers student jobs in the University, Students' Union and lots of other local businesses.

Skills Development Service
The Skills Development Service (SDS) provides a range of courses aimed at building your confidence, improving your transferable skills and increasing your employability potential. Certificates are awarded for successful completion of courses which can help with job applications in the future.
Volunteering is a great way to make a difference in your new local community. You’ll also get to meet many new people and have a lot of fun! Cardiff Volunteering offers a wide variety of different and exciting projects to choose from which you can fit around your University schedule.
Lots of students volunteer on projects in and around the city of Cardiff, giving up their time to help improve the social, economic and environmental lives of others in the local community and gaining new skills, experiences and friends along the way – making it an exciting opportunity.

- Monday to Thursday, 09:00-17:00
- Fridays, 09:00-16:00.
