This video by Course Director, Dr William Ford, provides an introduction to this progressive 3 year, part time distance learning programme that allows you the flexibility to study whilst working. Designed to develop outstanding research skills to advance a career in clinical research, this course provides enhanced understanding of clinical trial processes and regulation. Clinical Pharmacy (PDip/MSc)
A progressive key qualification for the advancement of your clinical pharmacy career, this part-time blended learning comprises face-to-face learning with online learning and experiential study. It integrates a traditional academic course with your everyday role, with the aim of developing vital skills and knowledge to apply to your patients. Interested?

The course has been a very stimulating and challenging experience and I have thoroughly enjoyed rotating through the different modules and experiencing different specialities. It has provided me with an excellent grounding as a hospital pharmacist.
Pharmacist Independent Prescribing
The course aims to provide Pharmacists with Independent Prescriber status to make the very best use of your skills to give patients quicker and more efficient access to medicines. The programme, run alongside nurses, midwives and other allied healthcare professionals, offers the opportunity for multidisciplinary learning. The course is comprised of a series of study days, self directed learning, assessments and supervised time with a Designated Medical Practitioner to build a prescribing portfolio. Interested?

Our School
Our teaching is informed and supported by our internationally recognised research. Our research spans the complete continuum from basic to applied translational science and clinical practice. Our team of world-leading researchers work on the discovery, development and use of drugs and medicines to tackle some of the most debilitating and life-threatening medical conditions and infectious diseases.
Our dedicated researchers pave the way in creating new, effective methods for delivering these drugs and explore how they can be used to better treat disease. It is the same team of researchers, as well as external expert practitioners, who teach our pharmacy students and inspire the researchers and clinicians of the future.
