Our postgraduate taught programmes

Applied Environmental Geology (MSc)

Dr Peter Brabham explains all you need to know about our vocationally-focused degree programme in Applied Environmental Geology, including teaching methods, contact hours and module information.

This course provides the requisite skills for employment in professional geo-environmental and geotechnical consultancies and government environmental agencies.

Water in a Changing World (MSc) and Environmental Hazards (MSc)

Dr Tristram Hales gives you a flavour of what you can expect on our two new master's degree programmes, including teaching methods, contact hours and module information.

Water in a Changing World draws on interdisciplinary knowledge to provide a broad outlook on water problems within the context of current realities and future projections of climate change.

Environmental Hazards provides technical expertise in risk assessment, with a focus on the methods needed to analyse past environmental hazards and forecast future ones.

The hands-on and practical nature of the course meant that when I left and started my first role, I not only felt well prepared for the tasks at hand but also like I already had experience in industry under my belt.
