External foundation programmes

In addition to our own foundation programmes, we work in partnership with external providers to offer alternative routes of entry onto our courses.

Cardiff University’s International Foundation Programme is taught on campus by University staff.

If you do not wish to be based on the Cardiff campus while studying for your foundation year, you can study at a NCUK centre which will also provide you with an opportunity to apply to Cardiff University for undergraduate study.

The International Foundation Year is a qualification offered by NCUK which can be accepted for entry into many of our undergraduate courses.

If you successfully complete the NCUK International Foundation Year, you will then have the opportunity to apply to Cardiff University. Applications will be assessed on a case by case basis.

As part of the qualification, you will take language and study skills modules to help you succeed when you come and study with us.

A dedicated NCUK team will help you with your university application.
