Is Clearing right for you?

Applying via Clearing is a good option for students who:

  • have not applied for a university place yet
  • have changed their mind about which programme to study
  • have not met the entry requirements for their chosen course and would like to find an alternative
  • have received better results than expected and would like to switch to a different programme

Who is eligible for Clearing?

If you meet one of the following criteria, you can apply through Clearing:

  • you are not holding any offers from universities or colleges
  • your offers have not been confirmed because you have not met the conditions
  • you have declined, or not responded to, a changed course/date of entry/point of entry offer
  • you have applied too late for your application to be considered before Clearing

Accommodation

Whether you choose to live in a university residence or private accommodation, we want you to feel at home here.

We guarantee accommodation for most applicants who join us through Clearing in 2024.

You are guaranteed accommodation if you:

  • receive an offer through Clearing by 19 August 2024
  • meet all the deadlines stated in your offer email

Applicants will either be allocated a room in university residences or accommodation provided and managed by a private accommodation provider.
