Spring has arrived on campus, and it’s not just the sunshine making a comeback.

Our annual 30(ish) Awards return for their fifth year, the 1976 UAU men’s rugby champions have reunited in Cardiff for a golden reunion, and you have the chance to head back to the Students' Union and relive the good times!

Fifth annual 30(ish) Awards open for nominations

Five years ago, we set out to celebrate Cardiff alumni making a difference – the disruptors, innovators, change seekers, mischief-makers, and boundary breakers. What we got was 150(ish) remarkable winners whose stories continue to inspire. Now it’s your turn.

Eschewing the format of traditional ‘30 under 30’ lists, the 30(ish) Awards are open to alumni under or over 30, who feel 30(ish).

Nominate yourself or someone else

This is Cardiff’s spotlight on alumni - where leaders, innovators, and rule-breakers get recognised. Think you (or someone you know) belong here? Prove it. Be sure to make your case by Sunday 21 June 2026.

A different kind of awards night

Our 30(ish) winners will be invited to join us on Thursday 19 November 2026 to celebrate on campus. Forget traditional black tie – this is a celebration of Cardiff-made bright sparks.

The event will be hosted by Cardiff University’s President and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Wendy Larner.

Take a chance to land yourself an exclusive spot on a night of connecting with other pioneering Cardiff alumni. Check out last year's event.

There’s no time like the present, nominate yourself or someone else today!
