Access to safe accommodation

Male student studying in his room

We're working hard to make sure you have a comfortable, clean and safe place to live.

Our University accommodation will be open and we are carefully assessing how to work with private accommodation providers to ensure your health and safety.

Living in student accommodation gives you an ideal opportunity to meet new people from different backgrounds, studying a wide range of subjects.

Social distancing

Our Residence Team have put social distancing measures in place. Both the team and our residents will need to follow the latest government guidance and work together to manage the risk of coronavirus (COVID-19).

Social distancing means you will be asked to maintain social distancing from those students you do not live with.

Self-isolating in your accommodation

We won't be asking you to arrive early to self-isolate so you won't have any additional accommodation to pay for. If you need to self-isolate when you arrive, you will be able to do this in your room and join your studies remotely.

Support and wellbeing

Our Residence Life Team will provide you with wellbeing support. They'll offer a virtual social programme to help you settle into halls and meet students who you don't live with. Our Security Team will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Our Student Support and Wellbeing teams will continue to provide support for all students and for students living in University accommodation.
