Participant testimonials

We're delighted to have received some excellent feedback about this course from participants:

The training was comprehensive, and facilitators were (and continue to be) extremely helpful in offering continuing guidance on how to complete a review. As a qualitative researcher, I found the quantitative module beneficial for base learning (despite being advanced beyond my knowledge!). Brilliant mix of theory based and experiential learning exercises. A lot to pack into a week, so be prepared (well worth it!).

Lauren Cox - Youth Mental Health Research Unit (JUICE), Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, UK

Through gaining skills in synthesising evidence and having the opportunity to establish links with experts, I have been able to develop a far more thorough and robust review for my research.  I would thoroughly recommend the course as a learning resource for those at any stage in their research career.

Laura Ingham – PhD student, Cardiff University, UK

I completed the JBI Comprehensive Systematic Review Training Programme in June 2021 to help me to determine whether a systematic or scoping review would be most appropriate for my PhD. By the end of the course, I was astounded by the wealth of knowledge I had gained on different types of literature reviews from the experts at the Wales (UK) Centre for Evidence Based Care. The course tutors were incredibly clear, informative and approachable, making the course an enjoyable experience. I came away from the course feeling confident in my own abilities, but the tutors also continued to support me by answering questions and directing me to useful resources as I moved through the stages of conducting my first mixed methods systematic review. I would highly recommend this programme to researchers at any career stage.

Rachael Hewitt, PhD student, Cardiff University, UK

The JBI Comprehensive Systematic Review Training Programme has been invaluable in my development of a systematic scoping review. It has acted as a solid foundation of knowledge and skill that put me on the right path, supported essential learning, and enabled me to ensure quality through more robustly considered inquiry.
