Project Management live online course

This tutor-led live online learning course brings project management to life, and makes it broadly accessible to delegates who need to understand and have practical experience of the discipline without requiring professional accreditation.

This online course is adapted from our face-to-face course. We have worked with the tutor to create a three-day version of the popular two-day project management course.

You will complete some pre-course study prior to joining the three-day virtual workshop. The virtual workshop is very practical – each morning is tutor-led, and the afternoon sessions are dedicated to group work.

You will complete the course feeling confident in your ability to manage projects as well as appreciating some of the broader change management and stakeholder engagement issues.

During the virtual workshop, you will be introduced to some fundamentals of project management, as well as the importance of having the right governance and organisation structures in place for effective decision making.

As well as starting from firm foundations, the workshop focuses on the need for a business case and well-structured plans but also recognises that things don’t always go according to those plans.

Your trainer will be Richard Rose.

Benefits

This course is entirely virtual, and is split into two sections: pre-course study and a three-day online workshop. You will have plenty of time to complete the pre-course work, and this can be done at a time to suit you.

The workshop is also split into two, so you will benefit from both tutor-led sessions, and group activities.

We have reduced the number of participants to a maximum of eight, in order to ensure that you receive the best possible learning experience.

As a participant, you will learn some fundamental but valuable skills for managing any type of project through a practical workshop, which is based on a scenario with ‘hands-on’ exercises.

By the end of this workshop you will:

  • have practiced and be confident in a very broad range of project management techniques
  • be able to understand stakeholders and engage with them more effectively throughout the life of the project
  • have a deeper insight into the challenges of change management and embedding project driven change into organisations.

We will confirm timings, provide learning materials, and other information (such as login details) in the two weeks leading up to your course.

You will not need any equipment except for a computer with good internet connection and a camera function, and the ability to sign into Zoom.

Please note that the virtual workshop consists of three mornings of tutor-led study. The afternoon sessions are dedicated to more independent group activities. Your tutor will be on hand to answer questions if required.
