PRINCE2® blended eLearning and virtual course
This blended eLearning course and virtual workshop covers the latest 2017 version of the PRINCE2® Project Management method and prepares delegates for both the Foundation and Practitioner examinations, which are taken as part of this programme.
Foundation modules will be undertaken via eLearning prior to course attendance. You will complete the eLearning course in your own time.
The two-day virtual workshop is designed to help you consolidate the eLearning you’ve done in your own time, and to prepare you to take your Foundation and Practitioner exams (included in the course fee).
You will take the Foundation and Practitioner exams at a time to suit you following the virtual workshop.
About PRINCE2®
PRINCE2® (PRojects IN Controlled Environments) is a structured method for effective Project Management.
The PRINCE2® method is internationally accepted as the leading ‘best practice’ project management approach and is widely used in the private and public sectors, both in the UK and internationally. PRINCE2® provides a flexible and adaptable framework covering the wide variety of disciplines and activities required within project management, making it extremely popular with businesses and organisations.
To hold PRINCE2® accreditation indicates that a project manager or business is professional, competent and able to respond to challenging and changing circumstances.
About the course
eLearning
All foundation-level eLearning is to be undertaken in your own time in the month prior to the virtual two-day workshop. All course materials will be sent to you in good time.
This approach provides you with a deeper knowledge so that you will come to the virtual workshop with more knowledge of how to apply concepts in your work.
Note: You can choose to study the Practitioner-level eLearning topics prior to attending the virtual workshop, however this is not mandatory.
Note: You will need to purchase a manual for this course. The cost for this is not included in the course fee.
Virtual workshop
The two-day workshop event allows you to immerse yourself in the subject with an expert trainer, and is an opportunity to understand how to apply the PRINCE2® method in practice.
The workshop brings together the Foundation-level topics that you have already covered in your eLearning, interwoven with Practitioner elements. Extensive use is made of case study material which is designed to help you consolidate the elements of the PRINCE2® Foundation part of the course, produce the key PRINCE2® management products, discuss PRINCE2® scalability issues and apply the elements of PRINCE2® to a practical scenario as you will be expected to do in the Practitioner examination.
Preparation is the key to success, so we provide a full pre-course eLearning programme, to make sure you arrive on the first day fully prepared. The virtual workshop allows you to immerse yourself with an expert trainer for two days, using Zoom to consolidate your knowledge and learn how to apply the concepts.
The virtual workshop is intense but fun. The volume of information to be processed in order to reach Practitioner level is high, so it’s really important that you complete all the eLearning materials in full before attending the virtual workshop.
Examinations
These will be taken online, sat at a time to suit you (ideally within 14 days of completing the workshop). The exam vouchers are valid for 12 months.
Note: You will be expected to complete a Practitioner mock exam during the evening of day one of the virtual workshop.
Your trainer will be Aspire Europe (a partner of Cardiff University).
