Mrs Kirsten Wain

Overview

I am responsible for WISERD’s communication with a wide range of stakeholders from across the public, policy, media and third sectors. I support WISERD’s academic researchers in maximising opportunities to communicate their research, and support my hub colleagues with events and engagement.

I produce our annual report, WISERD Insight, our annual magazine, WISERD News and a regular e-newsletter. I am also responsible for producing other publications and publicity materials, such as abstract booklets and postcards, and overseeing branding projects as required.

I am the point of contact for media enquiries and responsible for issuing news stories and press releases on behalf of WISERD. I also look after the WISERD blog and social media channels, and am part of the WISERD web team.

Before joining Cardiff University, I held a number of communications and marketing roles, working on publications, marketing campaigns, digital content and branding projects, in the higher education and travel publishing sector. I hold a BA in English and Media Studies from the University of Portsmouth.
