I am part of the LIGO Scientific Collaboration and help to maintain the computing infrastructure including ensuring LIGO users can access and use the Cardiff Computing Cluster, the LIGO Publication and Presentation system, the LIGO voting system, and various LIGO Data Grid tools and services.

Cardiff University

Since 2012 I have worked in the Gravity Exploration Institute at Cardiff University as part of the LIGO Scientific Collaboration. I help to maintain the computing infrastructure including ensuring LIGO users can access and use the Cardiff Computing Cluster, the LIGO Publication and Presentatuon system, the LIGO voting system, and various LIGO Data Grid tools and services. This work is done in coordination with other computing staff from accross the collaboration, with the ultimate aim of ensuring the scientific researchers be able to do their work effectively.

Industry

From 2011 to 2012 I worked in the private sector developing software for software defined storage servers.

University of Bristol

From 2004 to 2010 I completed a PhD and Postdoc at the University of Bristol in the Soft matter Theory group. Here I worked on modelling the properties of theoretical models of fluid using analytical and simulation approaches.
