Overview
I'm a tutor with the School of Continuing and Professional Education where I teach creative writing modules.
I'm a multi-genre writer. Publications include the historical crime series Cornish Mysteries (latest installment is The Mermaid's Call), as well as fantasy novels published under the name D. K. Fields (a co-writing pseudonym for myself and my partner David Towsey) and poetry - two full length collections and a pamphlet.
I'm a recipient of a Literature Wales bursary, plus my work has won the Holyer an Gof Fiction Prize twice, and I've been shortlisted for the Winston Graham Memorial Prize.
In addition to my role at Cardiff, I also teach for the Open University, the University of South Wales MPhil programme, and I'm a mentor for Literature Wales.
