Overview

Edmund Heery is Professor of Employment Relations at Cardiff Business School and currently is Associate Dean with responsibility for human resources.

Edmund has been at Cardiff Business School since 1995 and before then worked at Kingston University, Imperial College, City University, the London School of Economics and North East London Polytechnic.

Originally from Liverpool, Edmund was educated at the University of Cambridge, Essex University and the London School of Economics.

Biography

Edmund Heery has been an advisor to the UK’s central trade union organisation, the Trades Union Congress and has provided numerous reports and given numerous talks and seminars to UK trade union audiences. He has also undertaken research work for Amnesty International UK and the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service.

Edmund’s academic engagement includes membership of the British Universities Industrial Relations Association and the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. He also serves on several editorial boards, including those of the British Journal of Industrial Relations, Journal of Industrial Relations, Labor Studies Journal, Economic and Labour Relations Review, and Work and Occupations.
