Overview
I research two areas. One is how and why employers organise and act collectively. The other is the historic relationship between economy and state in modern Wales.
My doctorate (2013) examined government intervention in the Welsh economy throughout the late twentieth century. I then joined Cardiff Business School as a post-doctoral researcher working on an ESRC funded project examining employer collective action in the UK.
Before obtaining my doctorate, I worked on economic development research and policy for organisations including PwC and Cardiff Council.
