Overview
Elina (Evangelia) joined Cardiff Business School in 2014. She previously held a lectureship position at Surrey Business School. She holds a PhD in the area of management accounting from the Alliance Management Business School, University of Manchester and a master’s degree from the same university. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Athens University of Economics and Business. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Her research interests, although diverse, lay in the broad area of management control, management accounting and critical accounting. Elina is currently working on projects exploring the risk management practices in the UK financial sector and the accountability to employees in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.
She is currently the Admissions Tutor for the postgraduate Accounting and Finance programmes. Finally, since 2020, Elina is also a Trustee and the Honorary Treasurer at the Management Control Association.
