Professor of Economics
I am a Microeconomist specialising in International Trade, Industrial Organization and Public Economics. I have had articles published in numerous journals including the Economic Journal, Journal of International Economics, International Journal of Industrial Organization, Scandinavian Journal of Economics, Canadian Journal of Economics, and Economics Letters. Currently, my main areas of research are the modelling of oligopoly in a general equilibrium setting with applications to international trade, industrial organization and public economics; and the modelling of Brexit under oligopoly.
Previously, I have worked on trade policy under imperfect competition (including export subsidies, countervailing duties, anti-dumping duties, quotas and voluntary export restraints), the gains from trade under imperfect competition, foreign direct investment, state aid policy, and immigration. I have also worked on collusion in infinitely-repeated games.
My recent working paper on Brexit is available on EconPapers: A Simple Model of Brexit under Oligopoly.
