Kate L. Daunt (PhD) is a Professor of Marketing at Cardiff Business School. Kate is also an Academic Fellow at Cardiff University’s Crime and Security Research Institute, where she is currently undertaking a secondment for the academic year 2019/20.

Kate’s research interests include consumer misbehaviour, dysfunction during service, service design, social media dynamics and disinformation. Kate was awarded Cardiff Business School’s Martin Evans award for excellence in teaching in 2018. Kate serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Service Research, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Marketing Management and Journal of Services Marketing. Kate is a professional member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (MCIM), a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma International Business Honour Society.

Previously, Kate has held the roles of Chair of the Research Ethics Committee, Deputy Director of Doctoral Studies, Business Management Pathway Convenor for the Social Science Research Methods MSc, and Associate Editor at the Journal of Services Marketing.
