Overview

Dr Carmela Bosangit is a Senior Lecturer at Cardiff Business School.  Her research interests include access-based consumption,  ethical consumption, responsible business practices, consumer/tourist experiences and consumer narratives in social media.  Past research projects include ethical consumption and responsible business practices in the jewellery industry, ecolabel certifications, flexible ethical consumption of tourists in St Ives and environmentally conscious behaviour of UAE consumers.  She is an Editorial Board Member of Annals of Tourism Research and Annals of Tourism Research Empirical Insights. Carmela has been appointed Chair of the School Research Ethics Committee. 

She completed her PhD in Business and Management at the University of Nottingham and her Master of Science degree in Leisure, Tourism and Environment at Wageningen University, Netherlands. Her PhD is funded by the highly competitive Nottingham University Business School Scholarship while her master's degree was sponsored by the Dutch Government’s NUFFIC Academic Fellowship.
