I joined Cardiff School of Law and Politics as a lecturer in September 2015. I teach on the undergraduate Contract Law and Commercial Law modules and am the module leader for Marine Insurance (LLM). I have also taught, and module led, the LLM Carriage of Goods by Sea course. My general research interests lie in commercial, insurance and maritime law. I completed an LLB in Law and French (first class honours) at Cardiff before completing an LLM in International Commercial Law (distinction) also at Cardiff University. I was awarded the Cardiff Law School Shipping Law PhD Studentship to undertake research into the fraud rules in marine insurance and documentary credits. My PhD, entitled 'Fraud unravels all: A critical examination of the fraud rules in marine insurance and documentary credits', was awarded in March 2018. I was supervised by Professor James Davey (Southampton University) and David Glass (Cardiff School of Law and Politics).
