Overview
Dr Callahan is based in the USA and teaches at the State University of New York, Purchase Campus. He is an adjunct scholar with the Ludwig von Mises Institute, a charter member of the Michael Oakeshott Association.
Dr Callahan’s specialist interests are British Idealism, history of political and economic thought and the philosophy of the Social Sciences as well as economic methodology. He has published on libertarianism, critical idealism and Michael Oakeshott. At present Dr Callahan is currently writing a monograph: Oakeshott on Rome and America to be published by Imprint Academic.
Dr Callahan will work with the British Idealism and Collingwood Centre.
