Overview
I started in post as the Lecturer and Programme Manager in Medical Illustration in January 2009. Prior to this I worked as a Clinical Photographer.
I am an Assistant Editor for the Journal of Visual Communication in Medicine.
Biography
I commenced in role as the Lecturer and Programme Manager for the PGC in Medical Illustration in January 2009. Prior to this, I worked as a Clinical Photographer in the Media Resources Centre, Cardiff and Vale NHS Trust. This work involved taking photographs to support patient care, teaching, research and publications. I also had the led role in the training of the annual intake of Trainee Clinical Photographers.

Awards
Annually the Institute of Medical Illustrators presents awards to work of outstanding quality in the field of medical illustration. Between 2005 and 2008 I won a platinum award (best in show), two gold awards (one being a joint entry), two silver and eight bronze awards (one being a joint entry). The winning photographs for the platinum award were published in the British Journal of Photography (5th October 2005, p16-18) and others have featured in editions of the Journal of Visual Communication in Medicine.

I have an involvement with the Welsh Institute of Dermatology, which involves the imaging of moles through dermoscopy.
I am currently involved in introducing a skills log book for trainee clinical photographers in the Media Resources Centre, Cardiff & Vale NHS Trust. This entails the development , implementation and evaluation of training log books for trainee clinical photographers in relation to:
