Overview
I am a multidisciplinary researcher applying chemical sciences and engineering principles to solve problems in the aspects of energy and environment. My doctoral research work focused on the physico-chemical characterisation of mineral materials for engineered barriers to retain nuclear wastes. My current role at Cardiff University focused on the in-situ and ex-situ experimental aspects of energy and environment research theme. I am also exploring the experimental and field application aspects of the adsorption thermodynamics of CO2 on coal and permeability of CO2 in coal seams in the frame work of geologic disposal of CO2.
Specific research interests:
1. Nuclear waste management (Deep geological disposal).
2. Unconventional energy operations and environmental impacts.
3. Geologic disposal of CO2.
