The Specialist Unit for Review Evidence specialises in all aspects of systematic reviewing, including searching for, appraising and summarising current and reliable evidence in health and social care. My role involves working as part of the SURE team in supporting systematic reviews and other evidence-based projects in the field of public health and social care.

I have received extensive training in systematic review methods and has contributed to a number of NICE and Public Health Wales (PHW) commissioned projects, as well as, assisting the team with database searching and screening for other internal and external systematic review projects.

Additionally, I assist with the organisation and preparation of the SURE Systematic Review course and manages SURE's finances and the content of the website.

I started at the university in 2005 as a Research Technician and have progressed over the years into the role of Laboratory Manager, which I currently undertake on a part-time basis in the School of Biosciences.

Additionally, although my background was mainly clinical biochemistry, I had a desire to work in a more public health focused role. As a result I took up the opportunity to work part-time with the Specialist Unit for Review Evidence (SURE) as a Research Administrator in 2012.

I currently divide my time between my two part-time roles in the School of Biosciences and SURE.
