Overview

I am an assistant systematic reviewer for the Specialist Unit for Review Evidence (SURE) and have experience in all aspects of the review process including protocol and search development, systematic literature searching, critical appraisal, data extraction and evidence synthesis.

I have contributed to a number of NICE,Public Health Wales (PHW) and What Works Centre (WWC) commissioned projects.

I am currently collaborating with the Wales COVID-19 Evidence Centre which aims to provide reviews that answer the priority questions for policy and practice in Wales as we meet the demands of the pandemic and its impacts.

Biography

I started at the university in 2005 as a Research Technician and progressed over the years into the role of Laboratory Manager in the School of Biosciences.

Although my background was mainly clinical biochemistry, I had a desire to work in a more public health focused role. As a result I took up the opportunity to work part-time with the Specialist Unit for Review Evidence (SURE) as a Research Administrator in 2012.

During my time with SURE I have had the opportunity to develop specialist expertise in the field of systematic reviewing and I am now currently in the role of an assistant systematic reviewer.
