Life Sciences Network Project Manager
I am Project Manager of the Life Sciences Research Network Wales, one of 3 National Research Networks within the Sêr Cymru scheme, launched by Welsh Government to enhance and build on research capacity in Wales. The 5-year project is managed by Cardiff University from the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
I am responsible for the day-to-day running of the Network, working at the interface between academia and other stakeholders to deliver KPIs against 131 funded projects.
I have worked at Cardiff University for 10 years in a variety of research management roles, on projects funded by Welsh Government to increase research capacity across Wales. Projects included the NISCHR-funded Children & Young People’s Research Network and the Microbiology and Infection Translational Research Group at the School of Medicine. I was also Institute Manager for the Sustainable Places Research Institute at Cardiff University.
Prior to working for Cardiff University, I worked as a Research Manager for Children in Wales and was Marketing and Fundraising Manager for Save the Children Wales.
