Research Assistant, CASCADE

Overview

I work part-time as a research assistant/peer researcher at CASCADE, the Children's Social Care Research and Development centre, Cardiff University.

I am working on an NIHR-funded project led by Professor Jonathan Scourfield - Family group conferencing for children and families: Evaluation of implementation, context and effectiveness (Family VOICE).

I also work for the London Borough of Camden as a Parent Advocate for Family Group Conferences and Child Protection Conferences, as a member and coordinator of the Camden Family Advisory Board, and as a Lay Member of the Camden Safeguarding Children Partnership.

I am also a Relational Activist, and I utilise my experience through work and relationships to achieve social change. My interests include Peer/Parent Advocacy, Parent Participation, Family Group Conferences, Child Development, Child Protection, and Domestic Abuse.
