I am a postdoctoral research associate at the Gravity Exploration Institute, Cardiff University.
From a physics background with honours and master's, I completed my PhD in astrophysics in 2021.
My primary research interests include the formation and merger of double compact objects - black holes and neutron stars - as progenitors of gravitational waves, through detailed binary evolution modelling in isolated environments of galactic fields or dense, gravitationally perturbed environments of star clusters. I bring the theoretical understanding of stellar evolution and N-body dynamics together with gravitational wave and radio observations of double compact objects.
My models can theoretically predict host environment signatures of double black holes in mass, spin and eccentricity observations, helping us in understanding the astrophysics of stellar mass and intermediate mass black holes.
My other avenue of investigation concerns detailed modelling of pulsar evolution and their implication on their future detections through gravitational wave detectors as well as radio telescopes.
Recently, I have also developed an interest in few-body encounters and triple systems.
