Research Assistant

School of Geography and Planning

Overview

I am a new member of GEOPL as of the beginning of February 2021. Prior to this, I have worked within the School of Social Science in both CASCADE (Children’s Social Care Research and Development Centre) and  DECIPHer (Centre for Development, Evaluation, Complexity and Implementation in Public Health Improvement).

Currently, I am working as a research assistant on a project researching the implementation of Upstream Cymru in Wales.

  • Upstream Cymru is an initiative to help prevent Youth Homelessness in Wales.
  • Cardiff University is working in collaboration with Llamau (a leading youth homelessness charity in Wales and several local authorities (Cardiff, RCT, Caerphilly) and End Youth Homelessness Cymru, to raise awareness about Upstream Cymru and to research into all 22 Local Authorities across Wales on youth homelessness figures.
  • We will also be working in collaboration with partners of the upstream international living lab, in the US, Canada and Australia and those funded by the Oak foundation will also be inherent to the project.
