Lecturer: Occupational Therapy
I am currently a lecturer in Occupational Therapy on a secondment from Cygnet Healthcare with a special interest in female mental health
I am new to joining the Occupational Therapy lecturing team at Cardiff University and look forward to taking a step into the teaching world of academia. I studied at Cardiff University myself and acquired a Post Graduate Diploma in Occupational Therapy in 2014. Since qualifying I have been working for Cygnet Healthcare specialising in female mental health. My interests include the use of sensory strategies within mental health, promoting student well being and providing a supportive and person centred learning environment.

I have been a visiting lecturer for Cardiff University for the past three years supporting PG Diploma students with a case study focusing on the role of Occupational Therapy in mental health. In November 2019 I have joined the school as a lecturer in Occupational Therapy. In addition to teaching and assessment I will also be a personal tutor as well as supporting students during practice placement.
My main research interests are within female mental heath including the use of sensory strategies in mental health.
